Choosing your wedding menu is going to be one of the most enjoyable parts of planning your wedding. Getting to taste the variety of food offered by the best caterers at your chosen venue. Remember the menu must compliment the tone and theme of your wedding.
Food for fall season
It’s always good to talk about food but even better when you can eat great food; you and your guests deserve nothing less than the best. So whether you are having a sit down or a stand up reception make sure food is always being served. Even though you’ve chosen sea, sand and sun over a typical seasonal day in autumn, the food will need to reflect your autumn wedding. Stick to warm and fruitful flavours. Think of sit down reception with warm soups as a starter, to stand up reception with homemade sweet potato and roasted vegetables and if you are adventurous why not put a bit of pumpkin into the mix. So when you’re both sitting down, for the food tasting do not forget, to incorporate the whole season into your day, which will be sure to leave your guest’s taste buds wanting more.
Delightful Dessert Stations
Desserts, treats and sweets, everything any woman craves but feels guilty about, well I tell you now putting up a sweet treat temptation and delightful dessert pit-stop will instantly disregard any diet anyone of your guests are “on”. Be unconventional use the dessert stations to double as décor and make a statement piece on their own and not just a standard food station. So don’t think big and extravagant, think small and simple, incorporate all those homely warm deserts, apple pies, pumpkin pies, mix and match cookies, and tarts. Keep it short and sweet and let the guest unveil all the treats.
Cake, cake and more cake
Think outside of the box, why not consider having a cake station, where your wedding cake is center of attention, and you can decorate around with various other types of cakes that compliment autumn.
No pressure but put down your planning pen and pick up a fork. Happy tasting, couples!!
