What better way to end this month’s weekly blog posts than to talk about wedding food!
Pre-plated or watered? Whatever you choose consider your wedding style. Stylish intimate wedding ceremonies deserve a stylish reception and waiter service; if you’re having a beach ceremony why not consider a beach reception with either waiter service, or a cool and calming beach BBQ.
Replenishing Refreshments
Every wedding requires a refreshment stand; this can double as elaborate or simple decorations, which will draw attention to your guests. Think outside of the box, and why not have a drinks station full of ice cold non-alcoholic juices and tonics, this will be a great way for guests to mingle and cool down after your ceremony.
However if you prefer to have an alcohol station, then limit the options to 3 or 4 light cocktails, consider personalizing the stand and naming the cocktails after memorable moments, between the two of you.
Fusion Flavours
Whilst you are off enjoying being photographed as newly weds; what better way to keep guests entertained and happy, canapé’s!! Food, food, food, even in the heat of a destination wedding your menu plays a huge part in the overall guest experience. So think extravagant, and unique or think simple and elegant, either way your summer wedding menu needs to be soulful and sweet.
Canapes are always a traditional option, however why not set up a station or snack stand, so guests can help themselves until the main option.
Depending on your ceremony and theme, you can consider having various flavour stations of international foods, in a buffet style, with light finger food options.
Sweet Treats
Bring out your guests inner child with a sweet treat cart, and let them indulge on all those childhood delights. This is yet another item that can double as décor and provide your wedding with a personalized and characteristic touch. To add more of statement to a sweet treat cart, consider having your wedding cake as the centerpiece and decorate with colorful confectionaries.
So now we have reached week 4, this monthly blog comes to a joyful end. I hope each weekly posts has enabled you both to decide and design a wedding fit for summer.
