Every year, the Pantone Color Institute announces its Colour of the Year. For 2016, Pantone went for double or nothing with its first-ever Colours of the Year. And the winners are: Serenity, a pretty shade of blue, and Rose Quartz, a delicate pink.

Things get very interesting when you hear why they opted for these two colours;
