Unplugged Weddings

 

Unplugged weddings are trending day by day. The ability to have an unplugged wedding where only the photographer is taking pictures is the demand of the wedding couple. It is not nice to always have to have pictures where your guests are having a camera device in their hands and blocking the photographer, or worst of all to have flashes from other cameras disturbing your photographer.

The purpose of hiring in the photographer is to have nice pictures and devote some time to professional taking pictures. It is not nice having to spend time with almost all of your guests taking individual pictures because it takes too much time from enjoying your wedding.

Prohibiting using cameras throughout your wedding or a certain time during your wedding allows everyone to be able to spend time with each other and actually create and enjoy meaningful moments.  Make your choice, it is your day! Do you really want pictures to be ruined or put on social media without your knowledge?

There are many ways to prevent guests from taking photos:

 

1. State in your invites that it is an unplugged wedding and briefly state what that means.

 

2. Give your guests additional reminders

 

3. Let your officiate make and announcement that the wedding is to be strictly unplugged

4. Provide a photo booth at your wedding to create memorable moments

5. Remind people with an article or a picture on social media with how they are able to ruin pictures on your wedding day

6. Instead of having a completely unplugged wedding, devote some time for when pictures are allowed to be taken

7. Ask your photographer to add a second shooter for the day so as to ensure all moments are captured from different angles

8. If your decide to go drastic by actually taking the phones from your guests, have a person in charge of the phones, make notes on whose phone is whose and call the person when their phone is ringing
