When thinking about your wedding there is no ‘one size fits all’, put your own twist on these 5 trends to create your perfect 2021 wedding.
1. Intimate & Informal
There is no surprise with the top trend being smaller scale weddings, also known as micro weddings.
Many couples are opting for a more intimate gathering, which can also make it a more meaningful celebration. With a lower guest count, more emphasis can be made on the ‘wow’ factor, personal touches throughout the wedding to capture the couple and moments shared perfectly which will be treasured for years to come.
Most importantly, the popularity of a more intimate wedding is the amount of quality time the bride & groom are able to spend with every guest present.
Videographers to capture your wedding for your loved ones who haven’t been able to make it is going to be a big hit, to share your most special moment with loved ones is still possible.
2. Destination weddings & combining celebrations
This trend has been ongoing for some time now but what we will find very common in 2021 is combining the stag & hen party with the wedding day itself and following through with the honeymoon in one destination, whether it be a short drive from your hometown or another country altogether, simplicity with a relaxed atmosphere is the vibe of 2021. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy their wedding celebrations spread over a long weekend… or even a week!
3. Going back to basics
Alongside seeing an increase in outdoor weddings taking place, we will find more natural touches, using surrounding beauty and backdrops as a focus and building from that with ceremony arches creating a delicate feel and luscious greenery being taken advantage of.
4. Attire
Whether they be exaggerated, capped or removable, sleeves are back in style!
We shall see an abundance of layers and detail in our 2021 wedding dresses, some being shorter, knee high dresses showing off shoes with a pop of colour, pastels or rich tones.
5. Concept Lighting
Concept lighting is top wedding trend whether you have an inside or outdoor wedding, as the sun goes down the lighting sets the tone and mood for the evening.
There are many ways to integrate lighting in a unique way, from exposed bulbs, lanterns, fairy-lights or geometric lamps – these always bring a touch of sparkle from the twilight hours and beyond.
Your wedding day is the first day of your new journey. To keep your beautiful day bespoke and true to you is the biggest importance of all, always remember, this is your day, own it, don’t worry about what’s ‘in’, enjoy your experience and make it your own!
LOVE is love!
