Yes it’s that time of year again, believe me when I say it has flown by for me and my team too. This month’s blog will consist of winter wedding ideas and all the tips and tricks you need to create your perfect winter wedding. Each week will vary, from talking about themed winter weddings, wedding menus, winter cake ideas and finally leaving you with some wedding entertainment ideas.
Themed winter weddings
Maybe it’s the magic and romance of it, but we are in love with the idea of winter weddings. Snowflakes, twinkling lights and the colour white are mainly used with this theme but don’t feel bound to just these seasonal aspects. There are multiple ways to make your winter wedding unique and outstanding.

Colour and Textures
You may have noticed when looking in bridal magazines or if you have been to a wedding recently that making good use of colours and textures can create a statement on it’s own. By just adding some extra metallic vases, candle sticks or accessories, will really add some sparkle and shine to your wedding. Not only do they look good, but they are really easy to incorporate into your unique winter wedding. The same goes for texture and fabrics; textured linens are very popular for winter weddings and are easy to combine with gold, silver or bronze.

a hint of the festive season
There are many pretty details to make your wedding feel like a winter wonderland without your guest feeling like they have entered Santa’s grotto. Adding just a hint of the festive season to your big day can be the solution. Decorations can include pinecones, evergreens, fir branches, and berries. More touches of the holiday season can be added in your ceremony décor, your centerpieces and the bouquet. You can also consider creating a winter menu with your favorite dishes or even a special cake topper.
